Caroline Peattie

Caroline is a highly skilled tango leader, follower, and exceptional teacher who DJs from the point of view of the social dancer. She is acutely aware that the music is the key to the connection between two dancers, particularly at festivals and encuentros where people come from all over the country to find a common tango language. Caroline keeps it simple and chooses the music that she knows great dancers enjoy and sticks to the arrangements that brought so many of us to tango and keep us coming back year after year. She has an ear for building cohesive tandas and orchestrates the energy and musical dynamics with the know-how of a seasoned dancer and DJ.


Michelle McRuiz

Michelle has been a tango DJ for 14 years. She has danced Argentine tango for 17 years and has done some form of dance since the age of 9. She combines her deep love for golden-age tango music, innate musicality, and trustworthy ear to create tandas that flow, build energy, and keep pulling dancers back onto the floor. Michelle DJs regularly in Albuquerque and Santa Fe and has been a beloved DJ at festivals, marathons, encuentros, and various milongas in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Texas, California, Idaho, Washington, North Carolina, South Carolina, and England.


Paul Akmajian

Paul Akmajian has been dancing Argentine tango for 25 years and DJing for most of that time. In addition to being a regular DJ in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, Paul has DJ’d nationally and internationally at numerous major festivals, marathons, and Encuentros, including Charleston, Denver, Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, Phoenix, Tucson, and many places in between. As a DJ, Paul works hard to keep everyone energized and dancing long into the night by playing the highest-quality, most familiar, time-tested, and dancer-approved music from Tango’s Golden Age.



Sohrab Soltani

Sohrab Soltani has been dancing Argentine Tango for over 13 years, in the past, he organized Tango events in Charleston SC, and has DJ’d encuentros, milongas, and marathons in Albuquerque, Ashville, Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Denver, Durham,, Los Angeles, Marin, Monterey, Mountain View, Salida CO, Salt Lake City, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe,  and at present regularly DJ’s in San Francisco Milongas. Sohrab, as a Tango DJ, prefers music from the Golden Age and his goal is to keep the dancers energized throughout the milonga. 


Vincent Lam


Vincent from Vancouver, Canada has been dancing tango for 19 years and spinning tunes both digital and vinyl LPs at Encuentros, Marathons & Festivals throughout North America, in the  Netherlands, Belgium, England, Spain, Sweden, Lithuania, Italy and Japan. Vincent favors traditional tangos, mixing his tunes with a sense of fun and romance. Vincent also enjoys photography and travel, but of course, all revolving around tango.
